ESPN
BRAND IDENTITY, GENERATIVE DESIGN
This project reimagines ESPN’s identity through a modular grid system powered by generative design. Using p5.js, I developed motion-based visuals that echo the energy, rhythm, and structure of live sports.
Every graphic element—motion, pattern, composition—is grounded in a strict grid foundation. The result is a dynamic and flexible visual language that scales seamlessly across event signage, digital content, and on-screen broadcast graphics.
By coding the identity system, I moved beyond static branding to explore how design can evolve through interaction and movement. This approach reflects the flow and intensity of sports in a consistent but ever-changing visual language. The system was applied to a web mockup using clear type and color, reinforcing accessibility while letting content lead. Together, code, layout, and design thinking created a scalable and engaging brand experience.
